"Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae PCR Detection Method" has been Determined as China National Standard
China National Standards Commission announced that "Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae PCR Detection Method" GB / T 35909-2018 was officially released on February 6, and was implemented from September 1， 2018. It was formulated by the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS).
Since 2012, the Veterinary Animal Mycoplasma Discipline of JAAS have been searching for the information from various literature review involving in the PCR studies of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae by means of PubMed, comparing and analyzing the online sequence alignment. The research group also conducted in-person consultations or e-mail determination of the international recognition of PCR method to detect Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. 8 internationally recognized experts in M. hyopneumoniae from International Organization of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, University of Minnesota, USA, Iowa State University, Guelph, Canada, University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, Ghent University in Belgium, Bernier University in Switzerland and the Royal College of Veterinary Medicine in the United Kingdom have been consulted. After five years' research we have formulated and promulgated the first national standard of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae in China, which has contributed to the clinical diagnosis and prevention and control of swine asthma in our country.
